Hot Cakes & Sawsage

My non-vegan girlfriend LOVES this dish, and that makes me so happy. The hotcakes are super soft and fluffy. The sawsage is flat-out insane. Incredible texture. It looks like the real thing. And this place makes the best seitan I’ve ever had. Not spongy at all. Then the flavor. Oh my. Heavy on the fennel seed, as it should be. An incredible value at $11.

This is my favorite out of the new breakfast dishes, and it's way more reasonably sized. It comes with three pancakes, #vegan butter and a housemade #seitan sawsage patty and loads of fresh maple syrup. I love these pancakes. That was one thing I really missed when I went vegan. I could never get them as fluffy! These are truly so reminiscent of my favorite childhood #pancakes. They have a touch of sweetness and have a really subtle but rich buttery flavor. They pair nicely with the seitan sawsage. I never liked vegan sausage until I tried the seitan version. This patty also has a hint of fennel and has a great smokey flavor. This dis is only $11, which is a great value. The pictures never show how large these portion sizes are.
