Fried oyster mushroom

I’m not a huge fan of mushrooms but they did a great job with this vegan fried chick’n. Very crunchy and flavourful. They have a few other vegan options there as well including some yummy poutine!

I was pretty surprised to see such an innovative vegan dish as Fried ‘Not’ Chicken (oyster mushrooms) served with pickles, slaw and fries. Rusty’s has a bunch of vegan options all clearly labelled on the menu - which is awesome. As for the mushrooms they were slightly over-cooked and a little dry, but I could see them being great if done right. Great to see options like this where plant-based options are few and far between.

This shocked me! I had to double check it was the vegan option. Mushrooms are insane! Also very spicy.. I would have liked it less spicy but delicious just how it was too!
