My bestie and I went to Avelo for our birthdays and it was the greatest dining experience I have ever had, ever. They only do 5 tables per time slot. There is the 5-course time and the 8-course time. We chose the 5-course and I couldn't dream if eating the 8-course one. I was #SOFULL. LOL! This dish was a house-made sourdough bagel, konjified Carrot, and macadamia cheese. This was tied for our favourite dish of the night. They marinate the Carrot for 60 days and use it almost as a "salmon on a bagel and cream cheese" vibe. It was crispy yet soft and the little black circles were a type of seaweed in there they popped like I would imagine caviar to be. It was OUTSTANDING! The ambiance was out of this world - just look at the photos! Our waiter had only 2 tables and he basically walked us through each bite. He was so attentive. He was the owner. So sooooo kind and cool. They had been reviewed by the Michelin star people, but sadly (and wrongly) did not get a star. But people: this is Michelin-star food! All of this for only $90 after tax and tip! It was insane! My friend and I decided that we will be going here for every birthday in the future. #sustainable #fairwages #farmtotable #local
