Dairy-free Mochi Waffle

Chewy just like mochi inside, while crispy on the outside! Cinnamon is quite prevalent in the waffle, nicely adding to the matcha gelato it comes with. I also added goma gelato. Unfortunately they were out of all their pastries (Saturday brunch time) 🥲

The waffle is a bit on the doughy side, mochi adds an interesting texture. Suggest to share as it can get overwhelming. Number 1 matcha ice cream is mild and not too bitter.

An excellent waffle!! I've become a big fan of mochi waffles recently and so happy to see this at Hvala. Crunchy on the outside and soft, mochi texture on the inside, complemented by the not-too-sweet ice cream.

The mochi made the waffles have a nice chewy bite while being crispy! The matcha powder, dried barley made it so much better!! Chef’s kiss really haha

Good for sharing as it's quite sweet & heavy to eat the whole thing alone. Exterior is crispy with sweet, chewy mochi in the center with matcha ice cream with rice crisps & syrup. 😋
