This congee was simply lovely. It’s loaded with yummy ingredients and so so full of flavour. Lotus kitchen is a vegetarian restaurant with a very vegan-friendly menu. Their menu contains no eggs, and according to their staff when we asked, only one of their ingredients contains dairy. You can ask them more questions about presence of honey, truffles etc as well (I did not notice any on the menu), they were patient and helpful with our queries and requests. We had a lovely dinner and time there. Recommended for meals with the family or colleagues perhaps.
The menu called it an 8-treasure congee. I’m guessing there were 8 ingredients. Whatever it was it tasted lovely. Congee was lightly salted and had a nice smooth texture. And the colourful “liao” added a nice touch as well.
