Chicken Rice

Great except the hainanese chilli sauce is missing.. So the sambal and ikan bilis part looks like nasi lemak but it's roasted chikn rice alright

This chicken rice blew my mind. They use normal beancurd skin but something about the marinade and the crispy tops was just absolute perfection. So affordable at 4.8 too. Vege Pot is awesome!

Think i may hv found my new favourite chicken rice,next to the Green Dot one. Served with the yummy lemongrass rice they make. The tofu skin is soo crispy on the outside n perfectly soft inside. Served with their pickled vege and i also got extra green vege. Thr's also the vegetarian ikan bilis. But, that Sambal!!!! Whoahhhhh!!! Is to die for!! So so good!! Altho it's not a 'chicken' rice sambal wth garlic type, more of a sambal blachan type. Im a true blue Asian who's serious abt my sambal n chilli, and this one-really hits the spot! 73/90 #veganisnotscary

got this for $5.10! original price was $6 but they had a 15% discount on all rice and noodles :”) ok this was surprisingly super good🤩🤩 have to admit i was guilty of judging it based on its looks... when it was brought over it was really underwhelming and unassuming - my thoughts were literally like “ohmy so little? will i be full🧐” but MAN this dish blew me away😍 can’t judge a dish based on its looks man :”) first off let me just say the fragrance of the dish was so so strong and my friend sitting across from me could even smell it!! the star of the dish would have to be the soy (beancurd?) ‘chicken’!! at first i thought they were really stingy with it but i dug deeper and lifted up the chicken and realised there was a whole another layer of chicken underneath🤩🤩 i really loves their chicken ohmy really really juicy and tasty ; SUCCULENT !!! the rice was super gingery, maybe because they actually used huge chunks of ginger to make the rice, but i’m not complaining because it really complemented the dish well hehe the rice wasn’t too dry as well, which i really appreciated!! && the rice was super tasty, wasn’t bland at all :) the broccoli also thoughhhh ohmy it was really delicious🥦🥦 very crunchy and tasty - could really taste the sesame oil they used to cook the broccoli!! although my qualms with it was there were only 4 pieces of broccoli... HAHAHA i mean its ok i guess for the price :”) the dish also came with soup that was quite tasty, came with some cabbage and carrots in it!! standard soup HAHA but overall really loved the dish and was worth it for the price!! would recommend and would go againnnn 💛💛 only downside is the meagre portion of broccoli HAHA #veganuary

This is a seasonal item at Vege Pot to celebrate their 4th anniversary. I always love me some chicken rice and it tastes even better when no birds are murdered for it. came with soup on the side and some delish pickled veggies as well. vege pot is def a top 3 restaurant at fortune centre. #veganuary
