This is listed as a cafe which has changed. The cafe is closed but Leaf and Seed is still doing business, they operate from a food trailer now that moves from site to site. I saw a post on their Facebook page that they were having breakfast today in Perrysburg. Since I haven’t tried their food before, I took a road trip to check it out.
I ordered a Breakfast Burrito which is made with todo scramble, home fries, sausage, cheddar shreds, pico de gallo and guacamole. This is all wrapped up into a tortilla.
I must say the portion on this burrito is the perfect size. It is enough to fill you up but not make you feel overly full to where you’re miserable from overeating. I didn’t see or taste much of the sausage in this but I am actually quite alright with that. I was more tan happy to allow the vegetables in his burrito speak for themselves. There is a very mild spicy flavor to this burrito. For those who like more spicy flavor, a hot sauce may be a nice touch. But as for me, I am a wimp when it comes to hot, spicy foods. This mild flavor was perfectly fine with me to where it punches up the taste without overwhelming my delicate taste buds. 😁. The guacamole on this burrito actually has chunks of avocado to where it adds to the various textures on this burrito. The toro scramble is the start of the show on this burrito. It is the replacement for what would be scrambled eggs. It adds flavor and texture to this burrito that combines well with the other ingredients.
If I were to say anything nit-picky, I would say the tortilla could be warmed slightly to add more kick to the burrito. Also maybe a dash of pepper to ramp up the flavor just a pinch.
I will say that the person who was working in the food trailer was working solo and there were a lot of people stopping by to visit her. She did a wonderful job keeping up with the orders, keeping things organized, staying friendly with the customers. I kind of got the feeling that the customers may possibly be regulars which shows this business is doing well and is being supported by the community.
