Black Pepper Steak Rice

Eat this if you're hungry. Serving is huge. Black pepper sauce is more towards the sweet side.

The dish would look very different from the original version, as I asked to swap white rice for brown rice, and french fries for salad. Hope the cook didnt find me irritating! I do like how the steak ended up sitting on a bed of salad. I didnt realise that mayo was provided! Would opt it out for vegan diet. The steak was like a huge patty that was crispy on the outside. The inside was essentially soy protein with very chewy texture. Black pepper sauce is good but could be more, as the taste sometimes gets stolen away by the baked beans. Pairing this with rice somehow gives a very home cooked feel. Haha.

黑胡椒排饭真的不错。他们一般给白饭但忘了给我糙米饭，我也比较喜欢。糙米饭不会太干，薯条和素牛排比较咸，有饭不会太咸。打包回家有点湿了。我觉得他们给太少豆和菜，我在家加了自己的鲜菜。素牛排非常好吃，味道香又甜，有点脆。 I quite enjoyed this. $8.80. It was supposed to come with white rice but they gave me brown accidentally which I prefer. The rice was not too dry and it helped to balance out the strong taste of the mock steak and fries. I got takeaway and they got soggy and messed up by the time I got home. I wish there were more beans and veggies, they said they don't provide extra veggies, I added my own raw veggies that I had at home. The mock steak was delicious and crispy with a slight sweetness. The cashier at the stall seemed pretty stressed out though.
