Inspired by @m1tch9i’s recent review of the place from when she was in Singapore, I

decided to head back to the stall for their #economyrice 😋 #mixedrice I guess as they call it in Singapore 🤫 This whole meal costed me only S$3 🤯 Even leaving the office at 11:30 to make it early enough for this stall there was already quite the queue! This place is really popular but it really doesn’t get the attention it deserves on this app 😴 The second photo is a share of sides I had when @m1tch9i was around. Again, super cheap and super delicious too! Their food amazingly doesn’t isn’t too oily if you’re the type to avoid hawker stalls for something more #healthy 🫢 I don’t know how they do it but I’m not complaining! #sgcheapandgood #cheapandgood

Coming here instead of nearest lau pa sat is a good choice. Take notes the

coffee shop very small so lunch time usually have no seats available. It is price at $4 and their daily menu usually charge at $3.5. Mixed rice could be $3 onward depend on what u choose. I quite like their brown rice as it got its own flavour not the very bland kind. Mock fish taste good too and mock goose is nice. The so called otah is like tofu smashed mixed with vegetables n such tasted a bit bland though so dun choose that dish.

For such an #economicalrice of solid quality, it’s no wonder the lunch queue leaves hungry

patrons waiting for an average of 20 minutes on your typical workday in Singapore’s CBD area 😮‍💨 (at least, if you arrive a minute after 12pm)

I opted for 1 protein, 1 #vegetable, and 1 kind of vegetable with #brownrice 😋 Naturally, my #tofulover instincts had me gravitating towards the braised #beancurd 🤤 I do love me some soft #tofu 😌 The soy sauce gravy gave moisture to the fibrous rice against the crispy #vegetablefritters 😝 I can still recall the balanced umami with the hint of sweetness from the sweeter bits like the preserved radish 😙 Then, it all was rounded of with a comforting side of a simple #stirfried #kangkong 🥰

This was the average $3-4 which is undoubtedly one of my personal best #bangforbuck in Singapore 😉

For anyone looking for #greatvalue in #chinesefood #economyrice do stop by this humble little stall before 11:50am to avoid the lines 😜

Yeah… there’s no rice here but that’s because this seemed like the only way I

could label this 😅 After ordering the chicken rice, I got a little greedy when I saw the #economyrice options.

So I wanted additional protein but really I just chose deep fried fail safes 😂 The spring roll was deceptively filling and fried close to the centre 😝 So delicious 🤤 as was the battered i don’t know what. It’s just a truly savoury bite of tantalising fritters 😋

According to the sign an addition of 2 sides is $2.50 which is not bad! 🤓

You should’ve seen the line of this stall. Best budget find in SG yet 👌
