For nearly 20 years, I have been wanting to visit Vegan Treats and I decided
to finally make it happen for my 35th birthday. Round trip, it was a 4 hour drive and it was completely worth it. I ordered their black and white cake which is chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting & filling, and the whole cake is encased in Belgian chocolate. I asked for them to add a layer of almond paste between the filling & cake layers and they said no problem, but was disappointed when I tasted it and realized they used almond butter instead of almond paste... the two could not taste more different. In spite of that, it's still an outsantding cake and I am very happy with it. The cake itself is moist and light, the whipped cream frosting is silky and airy, and the belgian chocolate on the outside takes it all over the top (in a good way). They did an amazing job on the decorations too.
