Wonderful food, good for sharing, or est all by yourself
We often visit this restaurant and it never disappoints, this meal was tasty, healthy and
filling. The mash was smooth and creamy and the joux delicious.
Sounds funny, but the burnt onion pureé for this dish just absolutely made it -
they are SO good with their flavours! This steak was very tasty, not the texture I was expecting, rather soft. All beautifully presented, extremely delicious and a lovely dining experience, as always.
It's a vegan restaurant and it's a nice place. However, without meaning to offend any
Bournemouth vegans, as there are lots of other awesome vegan places to eat in Bournemouth, it is a rip off to be honest! This dish obviously *looks* nice, and it tasted quite nice but not great, and it's only a small portion, but cost £17. I thought it would be much nicer and bigger at that price, so I wouldn't waste my money on it again. Not only that, but the waiter tried to sneakily rip me off a bit more too - when he took my order, he said "with chips?", so I thought I hadn't read the menu properly and that it said with either chips or salad, or something, but no - he wanted to grab another £4 off me, as chips are not included in the price, but on the sides menu for £4. I nearly said yes, before I realised, so I'm glad I didn't! That sneakiness is probably part of their business model, but I think it's a terrible idea, because they're only gonna get slated in reviews online, like this one!
