Back to my favourite lei cha place in Chinatown. I have previously reviewed their rice

and noodles before but yet to highlight this amazing piece of fried Hakka Tofu that I never failed to add on for every meals that I had here. Despite having this a couple of hours later, the tofu still remained warm and crisp to taste. The 'meat' on top added, brings out the essence of this dish too. I am not really sure what it is made of but i do see some waterchestnut bits in it. This tofu goes very well with their chili too! I do recommend you to get this add on for just an additional $1.50 for a more substantial, protein rich meal :)


It's a nice add-on to have because my appetite is not exactly small and the

tofu is quite substantial. The tofu used is firm and the filling inside is a bunch of crunchy vegetables while the filling outside is chewy mock meats.


This costs 1.50 SGD per piece. I recommend to add this to their rice dishes.

The sauce has a tinge of bitterness and herby, which I find absolutely satisfying.


$1.50 for this large slab of tofu with super herbaceous and flavourful broth. It’s so

rare to find such good deals these days!


That sauce was soooo good! I wasn’t expected a herbal soupy sauce to come along

them before they close permanently <3
