My favourite comfort food or when my body needs healing is a bowl of hot

porridge. This is the Cantonese style of thick congee. The duck is actually pulled mushroom stems, so it is great not to have mock meat. There are tofu cubes and green peas with a generous braise gravy that makes it yum!

feels a bit too plain for me, the mock duck is just mushrooms which doesnt

really taste that good to me. but its a comforting meal used to always have duck porridge before i turned vegan this is quite a good substitute hehe.
had it with a hot sour plum juice and thats really good.


The black thick sauce just made this sooo legit and very filling too

First time trying duck porridge. I generally don't like peanuts but done this way, it

complements the 'duck', gravy and thick texture of the porridge base well. Would be even better if there was more 'duck'. Thanks to @amazinganne for allowing me to find out abt this place & dish. #comfortfood #loveporridge
