As a lemon meringue enthusiast, let me tell you how EXCITED I was to see
this on the menu, and then how disappointed I was when it finally arrived! Everything about this is wrong — the crust is hard and you have to stab it with serious force, not flaky like a pie crust should be. The insanely yellow inside is more like a very mild lemon custard and the top is coconut cream — not MERINGUE which I thought it would be (sad sad .... why don’t they use aquafaba?) The cinnamon on top just completely put my mind through a weird taste roller coaster — is it Pie? Is it pumpkin spice? Is it pudding? I don’t even know. I only ate half of this because I was too distraught to continue.
