I enjoyed this a lot! The mala flavour is v mild and goes well with
the glutinous rice.

Not a big fan of the black cardamon bits (been a while since I last savoured 'bones')
Mala zhang was a first for me. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds and
had a hint of spiciness while still being somewhat sweet and fragrant. An actual piece of chilli was a nice touch, though it was slightly sour. After eating half the zhang, a peppery taste lingered in the mouth.
