Blue pea nonya dumpling

It’s 端午节 (Dragon Boat Festival) 🏵🚣🏻 and I managed to snag these beauuuutiful and yummy

All their rice dumplings are made in-house using natural colouring (Blue Pea Flower / Turmeric)

with no preservatives and no rafia. I liked that their dumplings are smaller than the usual ones (and also cheaper). This one is only $3.30 with a good proportion of flavourful filling of mushrooms, chopped chestnut, soy protein and wintermelon bits. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Love the vegan nyonya bak chang filled with diced winter melon, soya ‘meat’ and Chinese

mushroom, giving the filling a flavourful meaty taste. Glutinous rice texture is nice, with the unmistakable and pretty blue pea flower colouring.

I enjoyed it a lot! Nice proportion of rice to fillings.

High points for presentation with stained baby blue hue but taste was overpriced.
