I like how deep the flavours are especially from the monkey head mushroom. Yet, it
doesn’t feel heavy because of the sweet and spicy Korean styled sauce + all the fresh green vegetables!
I do think it will do better with more sauce because I did feel it was a little dry… not sure if it’s because of the takeout but a little more sauce could have saved it. And I felt sauce to rice ratio wasn’t right cos there were points that the rice was too plain and would be nice with more sauce!

I really love this place but this wasn’t it 🥲 we were really disappointed when
this arrive. Looks really soggy (and it was) and portion was so small for $11. The batter was quite thick and soggy but tasteless 😭 the sauce was also really bland despite it suppose to be spicy and sweet. We had trouble finishing it but we didn’t want to waste $11.

The yangnyeom monkey head mushroom cost $11. The monkey head mushroom had a nice meaty
texture. However, the sauce was a Chinese sweet and sour sauce, not Korean yangnyeom sauce.
This is the first time I tried a korean style monkey head mushroom, it tasted
alot like spicy bbq chicken, the "skin" a little crispy and not too spicy, I like that you get to taste the texture of the sauce and the crispiness of the "skin" together. The "flesh" within is very firm and chewy in the texture. I like the rice which is chewy and cooked just nice.
The portion is very big too, so my tummy is filled to the brim after the meal (with iced coffee and some sushi XD) . Each monkeyhead mushroom is quite big and you have about 8 of those which is in itself very filling already, then you have the rice which is alot too.
So next time I gonna ask for less rice if I order any don from here! :)
My family didn't quite like this dish. The taste isn't it for us. We'll stick
to the usual tofunagi dishes.
Very soft and tender monkey head mushroom. Slightly sweet, perfect to accompany rice.
Loved this! Second time ordering it and it was still as flavorful and delicious as
I remember! It’s way cheaper to order straight from them as Grab charges high commissions which affects small businesses a lot more.
