to compare to but now I say steamed version is the real deal hands down. Added my own chilli oil to enhance the taste and ordered extra hash brown. Now gotta try nomvnom's chicken rice once city opens
month?😢 have been seeing really good reviews of their chicken rice here, live very near but have never been here SO FINALLY but they’re closing end oct:”””( honestly, I’ve never had much veg steamed chicken rice before, so I’ll only be able to compare between 33 amk and privé’s! so anyway I think this was pretty good! but lost out to 33 amk in my opinion. they seemed to use the same mock chicken as 33 amk, really soft and tender and had a really good bite!! the sauce was not bad, but when I ate it on its own there was this funny sweet aftertaste that reminded me of honey? idk I was confused HAHA but it did satisfy my chicken rice cravings:”” the rice kinda fell short of expectations though. also beware that the rice comes in this super big portion, I asked for only half because I didn’t think I can finish HAHA but the portion is really generous that I even though I was really full, there was kinda too little rice for that much chicken oops. the rice was okay, not super mind blowing. wasn’t fragrant enough I feel!! didn’t have as strong a chicken rice flavour as 33 amk. quite eh. the soup also was a little weird, quite oily and had only a little bit of chicken rice soup flavour but there was also this overwhelming ginger/citrus taste? idk HAHAHHA oh then the chilli!!!! good chicken rice always has good chili butttttt this was a little disappointing. the chili was slightly spicy, added a nice kick but there was also a really weird overwhelming orange taste???? like I have no clue maybe its just me HAHAHHAHHA but anyway!! a really modest plate of chicken rice that’s still pretty good and does satisfy my cravings. but I think it’s only good because it’s close to the real thing but eh the flavour is kinda weird sometimes. would come back to try other stuff though!!! #veganisnotscary
Not a fan of the jelly-ish texture, which was much too soft and squishy, although I can understand why it would appeal to some. The rice and chilli though were really good! #veganuary
