Give thanks to the deity of your choosing that Canai is #vegan and this quesadilla

is #fusion 😜 DISCLAIMER: the “cheesy” is not vegan so this was, in fact… #veganized 😉 However, it won’t be for long! The owner happen to chat up my table of friends and said they’d be restoring more vegan menu items soon 🥹🥳 Understandably, they had to go more omnivorous in order to survive those treacherous COVID years.

The canai was well toasted to a comforting warmth with crisp on the surface. I remember the sweet salivating #curry potatoes being saltier, but it was probably the cheese that boosted that (as I tried this in my vegetarian streak days). The simple inclusion of the corn, carrot and peas are understated value to holding up this dish 😋 That being said, the MVP of this dish is the dipping sauce. It’s only… a tomato salsa and pesto kefir 🤪 You can imagine the salty crisp but fluff of a Canai, WITH the #salty-sweet #spiced creamy starch WITH little gems of peas, carrot and corn. The sauce just threw in the soury tinges of acidity and the freshness of pesto 🤩 PLUS I’m glad this wasn’t as messy to eat as you’d expect 👍

RM 13.90 used to feel pricey until I realised I can only ever finish half of it. So, it’s basically always 2 meals for me 😏 The point is on, which is the quality but be warned because this IS a #fullmeal 🥳 Not to mention, they didn’t charge extra when I asked for more sauce 😁

I do exceptionally recommend this restaurant. From what I know, this was the first properly #veganrestaurant in Kuching 🙃 #supportlocalbusiness
