Yum this was really good! The mushrooms taste better than mockmeat

super yummy! goes very well with the peanut sauce!

I’ve never had vegan satay made of monkeyhead mushrooms! It is my fave mushroom so

this was automatically higher in my ratings.
Seems like it’s fried, great texture. I can imagine snacking on this alone.
The peanut sauce tasted quite legit! Really enjoyed it, could have more sticks and some onion though.

Deep fried skewered Lion's Mane Mushroom (Hericium) served with diced cucumber and delicious peanut sauce,

this is not the usual charcoal-grilled satay.

At S$8, it is a little on the high side, but not overly pricey. It is still one of the dishes we always want to order when we visit Food in the Woods.

The mushrooms are deep fried to perfect crispiness, and they go very well with the peanut sauce.

The diced cucumber adds a refreshing taste to the otherwise thick creamy peanut sauce.

We would have very much wanted onions as well, but we understand this is a vegetarian restaurant so... 😣

In any case, this dish is strongly recommended!

I have never tried mushroom satay before this so I didn’t know what to expect.

The sticks arrived glistening and each piece was full of flavour. The mushroom pieces were fried and thus, crisp. Each piece was full of flavour. It was complimented with a cucumber slices and a peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was creamy and contained a generous amount of peanuts. I liked that it wasn’t oily. It would have been perfect if there were onion slices and some rice cakes. Overall, simply delicious!

Thick peanut sauce and lightly fried mushroom for satay. Love the taste. I have tasted

this as a side and the main (Satay Beehoon), but I am inclined to share this version as the serving portion is just nice as a side and sauce isn’t too overpowering as compared to the beehoon version.

The “satay” is made of monkey head mushroom and is fried to crispy! Peanut sauce

as dipping sauce and there is cucumber slices as well. Love this dish a lot!

The lion mane was fried, which kind of surprised me. Somehow they managed to make

it crispy on the outside, and chewy texture retained on the inside. Peanut sauce rocks. Cucumber very fresh.

For environmental reasons... I'm totally fin without the satay sticks, just saying~
