This is one of the best vegan nasi lemaks I have tried in Singapore and

gave me a new found and refreshed love for nasi lemak.

I love Ci Yan for vibe, atmosphere, location, price, and above all: taste and variety of food! Going back to the nasi lemak, I wish they had this on their menu more often because it’s truly delicious...and is my new favourite dish there!

The nasi lemak I had was made with coconut rice which gave it a really yummy roasted and coconut flavour that worked well with the other elements of the dish. The chilli was not too spicy, so I appreciated that. The flavours were well balanced, and no part of the dish was overpowering in flavour, which was great. I’m not that knowledge about nasi lemak in order to give a better and more specific review about each part of the dish, however, if you ever go to Ci Yan (before it closes in April/May 😢) and nasi lemak is on the menu, get it!

Ooo and they also use brown rice by default which makes happy!
