Vegan Traveller, Episode 8: This time I am in the beautiful city of Chandigarh, where
we took a break en route our long journey to Manali. I quickly opened the Billion Veg app to browse through vegan restaurants to find that AJA was a very popular vegan friendly joint. And it did not disappoint, what a wonderful place!
For starters we ordered the pulled jackfruit tacos, and it was simply delicious. The BBQ sauce was a show stopper and it brought the whole dish together. The tacos were made with multigrain tortillas served with sides of ranch and salsa. Their sauces were so refreshing to taste, and no wonder we didn’t leave any traces of food. The jackfruit gave a meaty texture to the tacos and made it all the more fulfilling.
I loved their ambience and their indoor plants just gave a different vibe to the entire place. And the vegan QR code was a pleasant surprise, and calls out for other people at the restaurant to try it out.
