Crispy baguette sandwich loaded with cold-cut 'ham', scrambled tofu 'egg', crunchy pickled carrot, and cucumber

sticks. Smeared with housemade walnut mushroom pâte (my favourite!) and some kind of smokey sriracha sauce. Such a flavour bomb and a great vegan rendition of conventional banh mi, which usually features deli meats and liver pâte. Convenient for takeaway as a grab-and-go meal too. (Allium-free option, $11.80) #sgvegan #vietnamese #womenowned #minorityowned

I’m not quite done reviewing the amazing #Vietnamese food we had on Saturday; I just

took a sabbatical from it to collect myself over how awesome all of it was 🤤 This was my friend’s but I had a couple bites and was beloved over how amazing it tasted. Have I not had #banhmi since going vegan? That may very well be so 😱 It used to be an almost weekly thing for me when I was a pescatarian! I don’t actually know what went in there.. some #tofu omelette and a riches of vegetables as is common in the cuisine 🥗 Nothing comes as close as Vietnamese vegan food 😋

I remember not being the only perplexed face at the table upon witnessing my sandwich

being served in a bowl 😂 In the moment I prompted the conversation, I realised… it’s The Kind Bowl 💚🥣

#banhmi is a spectacular dish in all fairness. A toasty crunch in your soft #baguette to hold a wealth of #deliciousandnutritious goodness 😋 My soul was nourished with the hearty helping of tofu scramble, fresh stringy cut carrots and a lot of identifiable greens. That was except the punchy cilantro 😵 Yes… I’m among those with the soap genes when it comes to cilantro 😶 The whole thing did end up tasting more sweet than savoury but it’s still a great #sandwich

I’m not a big eater so this was a stomach packing worthwhile $8.80 😜

Be warned of a sweeter bite between bun munches 😛

Really fresh, tasty & nutritious with the mix of grilled seitan strips, konnyaku ‘fishcake’, white

vermicelli, julienned carrots & radishes, Vietnamese spices & sauces/spreads (think one of them is mushroom-based and another tomato-based)! 🌈 Love the crispy toasted baguette too :) #vietnamese #sgeats

Yes!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 this has gotta be the best sandwich in the entire country of Singapore

🇸🇬 Why? A perfect crusty but soft and big baguette, that’s stuffed to the brim with vegan deliciousness that’s not too heavy but so damn satisfying. Rice noodles, strips of seitan, olive pâté, carrots, cucumbers and a whole bunch of other stuff that makes for the perfect sandwich. It’s so freaking hard for me to find a decent sandwich and I recently discovered this on the app and finally managed to take a photo before devouring the entire thing!

If you haven’t been here definitely check it out. My two favorite dishes here are this sandwich and the fresh summer rolls covered in sesame seeds!

I mean it’s the best Banh Mi I’ve had outside of Vietnam, vegan or not.

The bread is crunchy with a soft center, the filling is abundant and well selected. I especially like that there are chilli padis hidden in the dish for that surprise heat! For your own sake if you can’t take spicy food, ask for the chillies on the side :)

Crazy Baguette aka Bánh MÌ was a fresh lunch dish today! Enjoyed the grilled seitan

and fresh herbs and the homemade sriracha mayo! Recommended 👌🏼🥖🥬🌱 #singaporegoesvegan

I was not optimistic that a vegan version of a banh mi would be any

good, but I was wrong! It was really quite good! The bread was very much like a traditional sandwich, but possibly a little too dry. I will definitely be ordering this again.

As much as I wanted to like this, I really did not care for it.

The baguette was crispy and tasty and filled with a generous amount of filling but was really begging for some kind of sauce to go with it. It was a tad too dry for my liking on the inside. I wouldn’t recommend this unless I didn’t like you very much. 😅 There are much better things at The Kind Bowl.
