had eggplants cooked like this before! It was crispy and caramelized on the outside so it was really good 😍 definitely order this if you go! I didn't find it spicy at all so if you can't handle spice you don't have to worry.

perhaps Singapore has changed my palate! I know for a fact I can’t take the heat as much any more 😝 This country does not do #spicy! What they do have a monopoly on is all things super super unhealthy, in spite of us Malaysians joking that the reason our cuisine hits harder is.. “lower health standards” 🤪 This has become the #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease dish I’ve been hoping for! It’s a lot less soggy now with a sturdier “crust” and slight hint of sweet on the batter 😋 Avoneko was very happy with it too! #catsofabv #catsofabillion
delicious eggplant dishes from pretty much every part of the world but I’d never had #sichuan style eggplant. Perfectly fried so they’re tender inside but crispy outside, and coated with a caramelized sweet and spicy sauce, these should replace French fries everywhere! One of my favorite dishes in all of Singapore 🇸🇬

subpar to a lot of other deep-fried eggplant fritters I’ve had 🍆 Generally they go amazingly with sambal, but obviously we hadn’t any here 😅 It’s good if you feel like you need something frittery but it definitely doesn’t hit the spot for me 😴
perfectly cooked and wasn’t oily! Nor was it mushy on the inside. It was just perfect, especially dipped in a sauce of your choice.
